About Caravantasia
Caravantasia is an independent buying-guide site for camping gear. We help you compare products and pick one with confidence.
We write for car campers, families, grandparents and first-timers who want gear that is comfortable and easy to use, without wading through jargon.
What we cover
Our guides cover four kinds of gear: camp seating, tents, tent cots and portable camp toilets. We also publish basics guides on what to buy first and how to pack the car.
In the seating guides you'll find double camping chairs, chairs with a shade canopy and chairs with a side table. In the tent guides we compare four and six person tents and dark room tents.
We name brands like Kelty, Coleman, Thetford and Camco where they fit the question.
What we do
We read the product details, specs and maker information for each product we cover. We also look at what buyers often report after using it.
